For Generations to Come

A new home where Redeemer can grow as a place of deep hospitality, joyful fellowship, and faithful evangelism for generations to come.

Watch our film to hear more about the history of Redeemer.

The Heart of Redeemer

On Easter Sunday in 2008, Redeemer held its first service in Joel and Lauren’s living room in Crestwood. With a few dozen in attendance, the tiny space was full of joy and excitement as a new church family was formed.

By that summer, the tiny family had grown and moved a few blocks away into Girl’s Inc. In 2011, the space would shift to neighboring Woodlawn at Cornerstone Elementary. In 2014, the church moved to our current sanctuary in nearby Avondale. As we near two decades of life together as a church, the Lord is continuing to grow our faith family.

And yet, even after thousands of new members have joined us, the qualities that our early church members loved remain the same – the deeply welcoming environment, the intentional way our church family cares for one another, and the faithful declaring of the good news of the gospel to a world that needs it. Praise God that – even as our membership has grown – our brothers and sisters still feel seen, known, loved, and encouraged to pursue the calling that God has on their lives.

Book

If you haven’t yet, we’d encourage you to spend some time with our For Generations to Come book. It helps connect the dots between where we’ve been, where we are, and where we believe the Lord is leading us as we seek to serve our current church family and the generation of believers to come.

If you’d prefer to read a physical copy, you can grab one at our Sunday services. Want us to mail you one? Send us an email.

Convictions That Move Us

Watch our new film to hear more about how our convictions have brought us to this moment.

Part of Redeemer’s heart has always been to be a church marked by deep hospitality, joyful fellowship, and faithful evangelism. These convictions have shaped everything that we do at Redeemer, and they continue to guide us as we look toward the future.

Rather than standing alone, these convictions feed and strengthen one another in a beautiful cycle.

Hospitality opens the door.
Fellowship builds the table.
Evangelism shares the gospel across it.

And when we experience the redemption of the gospel ourselves, we can’t help but open the door to welcome someone new.

With Open Hands & Changed Hearts

Watch our film to hear more about how God uses moments of generosity for our own good and His glory.

This campaign marks the first time that Redeemer has ever had to raise money for a project. On one hand, this is an immense blessing and an indication of God’s incredible providence and the natural generosity of our church family.

On the other hand, many of us haven’t had to consider how generosity shapes our hearts towards God and towards others. Sacrificial giving is not ultimately about loss, but about trust as we take Jesus at His word that He will provide for our needs, care for us, and give us more of Himself in return.

At the end of this campaign, we hope to be ready to break ground on our new home as soon as possible. Even more so, we hope everyone in our church family has had their hearts bent towards living lives of radical generosity with their time, talents, and treasures for generations to come.
